How to make it

 

1. Heat Rabi Cooking Oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and cardamom. Cook for about 2 minutes.

 

2. Add sliced onions and chopped tomatoes. Cook until the onions become soft.

 

3. Add green chilies, garlic paste, and coriander powder. Cook for 5 minutes while stirring well.

 

4. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook for 6–7 minutes. If the mixture becomes too thick, add a little water.

 

5. Once the chicken is cooked, add boiled rice and mix gently.

 

6. Sprinkle garam masala, coriander leaves, and saffron milk over the rice.

 

7. Add the remaining rice as another layer and garnish again with the same ingredients.

 

8. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame for 10–15 minutes (dum).

 

9. Serve hot with raita and salad.

  • Boiled basmati rice (about 600 g)

  • Chicken (1 kg)

  • Rabi Cooking Oil (6 tbsp.)

  • Garam masala powder (1 tsp.)

  • Coriander powder (2 tsp.)

  • Cardamom (6–7)

  • Garlic paste (1 tbsp.)

  • Saffron (a pinch)

  • Green chilies (3–4)

  • Milk (1 tbsp.)

  • Onion (1–2)

  • Cumin seeds (2 tsp.)

  • Turmeric powder (1 tsp.)

  • Tomatoes (400 g)

  • Yogurt (1 cup)
